Steven DeRochi

Architect Steven DeRochi has been active in the residential construction market for 45 years, designing new homes, additions and renovations in Princeton and surrounding communities. His first subdivision was five homes in Lawrenceville, followed by a seven-unit condo conversion in Princeton. DeRochi is currently building out a subdivision in Montgomery and has approvals for a project in Rocky Hill.

After retiring from the corporate world, DeRochi founded SDR Architecture, LLC and now works closely with DeRochi Design+Build, his son's construction company, and BAJ Realty, focusing on residential and light commercial projects. On the development side, they have four approved lots and another eight in the subdivision process, plus a 10-acre commercial piece in Rocky Hill. They designed and built Tigerlabs in Princeton, and renovated Callaway Henderson's offices, as well as several restaurants and shops.

Jonathan DeRochi

Jon DeRochi, principal in DeRochi Design+Build and Steve's son, started his first business cutting grass middle school, did his first construction project (a deck) in middle school, and transitioned to a full-service landscaping firm throughout high school and college. Jon founded DeRochi Design+Build in 2000, developing it into the $2 million business is today. The firm handles new construction projects, as well as alterations and renovations, primarily in the Princeton market. It has five tear-downs in its portfolio, in which they were able to re-use the foundation and first floor box, as well as four completely new homes, and countless renovations and additions. DeRochi Design+Build also does a substantial amount of light commercial construction, both office and retail. Clients include Tech Mahindra, Tigerlabs, Callaway Henderson, Thomas Sweet, Café Vienna, the Blue Point Grill, and the Witherspoon Grill, among others. The firm also has stakes in several development projects with SDR Architecture and BAJ Realty.

Joseph Plotnick

Realtor Joe Plotnick has more than 35 years' experience in real estate and has successfully represented homebuyers and sellers for the past 10 years. Plotnick has an in-depth knowledge of the Princeton marketplace. By tracking all listed and sold properties in Princeton and the immediate area, he is keenly aware of current market conditions and shares this information with his clients so they can make informed decisions. He has also helped builders and consumers find building lots for new construction projects. In addition, Plotnick is an active home builder, having built and sold new homes in the Princeton area over the past 11 years. He was the principal in BAJ Realty, a real estate development company.
